With a global alumni network of more than 130,000, where can you connect with a CEO of a museum, social media director for the Bert Show, and a consultant? “Through Twitter, we’re sharing an inside look at the work lives of our incredible alumni,” says Tania Dowdy 08Ox 10C, Emory Alumni Association’s communications specialist multimedia.
“Follow along and ask questions with @AlwaysEmory.” Tweeting throughout their workday, each alumnus is tasked with giving followers a peek into their work life. “We want current students and alumni to experience ‘a day in the life’ of an Emory alumnus with a fascinating career,” Dowdy explains.
Recent @AlwaysEmory tweeters have included Doug Shipman 95C, CEO of the Center for Civil and Human Rights and president of the Emory Alumni Board; Nir Eyal 01C, author of "Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products"; Alexander Tange 07B, co-founder of Next Society; Cassandra Young 07C, social media and web director for The Bert Show and young alumni liaison for the Emory Alumni Board; and several more.
