The Emory Clinic Heart and Vascular Center and Emory Cardiovascular Specialists have combined their practices to offer patients a greater range of cardiovascular treatment on the Emory Saint Joseph's campus. This practice of 18 physicians provides a comprehensive, seamless patient care experience by offering a variety of services including general cardiology, electrophysiology, preventive cardiology, women's heart, cardiac sports medicine, interventional cardiology, adult congenital cardiology, and structural heart disease.
The new multi-specialty cardiology practice is located at 5671 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Suite 300. The newly redesigned clinical space provides an inviting patient care experience while offering a complete continuum of cardiovascular care. The outpatient Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital Cardiac Imaging Center is located on the same floor as the office practice, providing same day service for many diagnostic procedures, including nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
"We deliver highly specialized care with a personal touch. Our physicians have a vast amount of clinical experience and expertise in providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to our patients. We partner well with our community physicians in coordinating our patient care," says George Chang, MD.
Additionally, the practice includes the Cardiac Device Clinic for management of devices such as pacemakers or implantable defibrillators, which require routine, detailed follow-up to assure proper function.
Patients at the new cardiology suite will also have access to the latest clinical trials and research within the field of cardiology.
As with all Emory Healthcare clinics, patients at Emory Saint Joseph's will also have access to the web based patient portal, allowing for communication with the care team and viewing of test results and other medical information.
