Emory's Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) has several new or ongoing initiatives.
- Beginning Monday, June 23, a new stop was added to the South DeKalb shuttle route. The shuttle now picks up riders at Midway and Candler roads. The new stop lets riders avoid having to walk up busy Candler Road to the stop at Agnes Scott College, says Samantha Thomas, assistant director of Transportation and Parking Services.
- TPS is seeking riders for a new vanpool from South DeKalb/Ellenwood. The van would leave the Big Bear parking lot in South DeKalb at 6:10 a.m., arriving at the Means Street kiss-and-ride turnaround at 6:35 a.m. It would depart at 4:15 p.m. from the Starvine/Clairmont Campus deck. The vanpool is open to Emory University and Healthcare as well as the Clifton Corridor Transportation Management Association (CCTMA) members. For more information, contact Sonia Moreland.
- Thomas says TPS is evaluating ridership on the B shuttle. Based on the results, changes to that route may be announced later.
- Employees who want help evaluating transportation options can use the "Commute Counselor" form on the TPS website. After employees submit details about their commuting needs, including the modes of transportation they prefer, TPS will contact them with information. Transportation possibilities include biking, walking, Emory shuttles, carpools, vanpools, public transit and more.
