End of the academic year means it's time for "Don't Dump It, Donate It," the annual collection of goods that students moving out of the residence halls don't want to take with them.
The campaign takes place May 6-15. Large collection trucks and carts will be located at or near campus housing units.
Clear plastic bags for donations will be available in the residence halls, houses and at the Clairmont Campus. Students are instructed to place donations in clear plastic bag and place in black rolling carts assigned to their building.
Donations can also be placed in other bags such as reusable totes or trash bags.
Larger donations can be placed inside trucks, to be located behind Eagle Row 22 near tennis courts; the Dobbs University Center loading dock area; and the Woodruff Residential Complex, behind Sorority Village and at the Clairmont Tower.
Carts and trucks will be emptied daily.
Proceeds from donations with benefit the Initiative for Affordable Housing that provides housing for homeless and low income families.
