Connect with Teaching, a showcase of faculty using technology in the classroom to enhance student learning and engagement, will be Thursday, May 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Jones Room of the Woodruff Library.
Faculty members will present and discuss the impact of technologies they’ve used in the classroom. Presenters and participants will then have the opportunity to interact and discuss at rotating round table discussions on each presented topic.
Light bites, desserts and refreshments will be served.
Presenters and topics include:
- Hong Li and Yu Li, senior lecturers: Chinese grammar and language using VoiceThread.
- Donna Maney, associate professor of psychology: Flipped instruction using Explain Everything
- Frank McDonald, professor of chemistry: VoiceThread and student presentation of research topics
- Donna Troka, associate director of the Center for Faculty Development and Excellence: Infographics using Piktochart
The event is a collaboration between the Center for Faculty Development and Excellence and the Center for Digital Scholarship.
