Put your campus building into a recycling competition and win $3,000 to spend on dedicated recycling equipment for the building. The contest runs until Feb. 28.
Emory Recycle and the Office of Sustainability Initiatives is holding the competition which will determine which building has the greatest increase in recyclables by weight for this month compared to February 2013.
Claire Wall, administrative program coordinator in Emory's Facilities Management and Deena Keeler , assistant director of auxiliary services in Campus Services, offered tips to pump up your recycling game.
- See that offices in your building are fitted with deskside recycling bins. These can be ordered through Emory Express-Staples Office Supply.
- Feed the recycling loop by buying recycled products. High recycled content is now found in products from printer paper to office chairs.
- Purge your office of old files and unneeded documents. Tap Emory Recycles for carts to dispose of these. Emory Recycles will bring carts to your address and pick them up.
