Learn stress management tips, try a group fitness class or attend cooking demos at the 2014 Healthy New YOU Expo on Thursday, Jan. 9 in the Cox Hall Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sponsored by Emory's Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), the second annual expo is offered to help all employees start off the new year ready to tackle their wellness goals with exhibitors and health experts.
This year will feature a live web stream www.fsap.emory.edu/expo allowing employees at all Emory locations to tune in, says Melissa Morgan, manager of wellness programs for FSAP.
There will also be a Pet Therapy Corner 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a stress break with dogs from Canine Assistants, similar to what is offered for students during finals. Dog interaction is offered on a first come, first served basis.
"Group exercise classes have been moved to the end of the day," says Morgan. "Last year we had one at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. This year they are scheduled at 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m."
This year's events include:
Bouncing Back from Stress! with Robin Huskey, Emory FSAP manager of education and outreach, 10:30-11 a.m.
