Emory Continuing Education (ECE) is moving to Executive Park from Emory's Briarcliff property, while continuing to maintain a presence at its Alpharetta location.
"Executive Park provides us with a more brand-appropriate learning environment for our students. While our course portfolio expansion is focused primarily on our online offerings, our new flexible classroom space will allow us to more effectively meet the needs of students taking our popular in-class options," says Executive Director Beverly Cormican.
Executive Park is located at 12 Executive Park Drive N.E., near the North Druid Hills Road exit off Interstate-85.
"Our new space represents a tremendous improvement with regards to the student experience, allowing us to provide a more professional and comfortable learning environment, including improved technological capabilities, and plenty of accessible parking for our thousands of non-traditional adult students — as well as our instructors and staff," Cormican says.
The current construction schedule projects ECE to be in the space by Jan. 1, 2014, and ECE expects to begin holding new courses at Executive Park by mid-January, she says. "Because we start new courses on a continual basis, we will have to consider what causes the least disruption for our students. We will regularly update the ECE website at ece.emory.edu/EP12 with information as it becomes available."
Emory employees receive a 10 percent discount on career enhancing certificate programs and hundreds of professional and personal development open enrollment classes available through ECE.
Cormican points out that other benefits for Emory employees taking ECE courses include flexible class schedules, Emory shuttle access, efficient smartkey registration, and more.
