Emory pioneers sustainable purchasing group

Emory Report | July 31, 2013

Emory is a founding member of the newly formed Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC).

The goals of the SPLC are to define, guide, measure and reward sustainable purchasing. The new organization plans to bring together industry, government, academia, standards organizations and non-governmental organizations to accomplish these goals.

SPLC launched on July 23 with a live webcast. Loette King, senior director of procurement and contract administration, and Rex Hardaway, director of contract administration, represented Emory Procurement in the webcast.
