Emory's 2012 Creativity & Arts Soiree kicked off the arts season Sept. 7 in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.

Festivities included music and dance rehearsals, comedy improv and poetry readings. The Soiree opened with more than 1,000 freshmen in attendance.

The evening concluded with a reception and ceremony for the 2012 Creativity & Arts Awards, recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the campus and beyond.
