Community service and a dialogue on social justice will be part of Emory’s commemoration of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The Emory Remembers 9/11 Day of Unity will take place Saturday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Faculty, staff, students and alumni volunteers will meet at the Dobbs University Center. Service projects include MedShare International, Oakland Cemetery, park clean-ups and a furniture bank.
The 9/11 Dialogue on Unity and a candlelight vigil will be Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7:45 p.m. in Cannon Chapel. An interactive panel and open dialogue will be held to generate discussion on religious freedom and conflict, nationalism, and the related impact on global peace.
