Construction of Emory Point, the mixed-use development on Clifton Road across from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has resulted in periodic traffic delays along a stretch of Clifton Road due to underground installations, utility work and surface paving.
Occasional one-lane closures are scheduled to continue through the end of August between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Repaving operations have started and will occur during the off-peak hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. along the construction site on Clifton Road and are expected to continue until the first week in August.
Emory Point is a project developed jointly by Cousins Properties and Gables Residential. The first phase of construction, which will create 80,000 square feet of retail space and more than 400 apartments, is scheduled to open this fall.
