Nominations for the Creativity & Arts Awards recognizing members of the Emory community as well as individuals or groups from Fulton or DeKalb counties are due Friday, Aug. 10 by 5 p.m.
The Emory College Center for Creativity & Arts and its advisory committee sponsor these awards to recognize significant contributions in creativity and the arts.
The awards will be presented Friday, Sept. 7 during the annual Creativity & Arts Soiree, which begins at 4 p.m. in Emory's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Free and open to the public, the soiree will feature performances and creative activities as well as a taste of the 2012-2013 Arts at Emory season.
Nominees can be artists, arts administrators, volunteers or activists. Award nominations are open to the public. Self-nominations are not permitted.
Categories of awards are:
- Community impact artist
- Community impact administrator
- Emory faculty
- Emory University and Healthcare staff
- Emory alumni
- Emory graduate student
- Emory undergraduate student
- Emory arts volunteer
