Humanitarians from Atlanta and all over the world will gather April 13-15 for the 3rd annual Global Health and Humanitarian Summit hosted by the Emory School of Medicine.

The event, billed as a cross-disciplinary festive conference, will feature speakers, exhibitors and performers in all areas of humanitarian aid and peace building. Participants will hear from humanitarians and the inspiring work they do locally and internationally.

"People from Emory, Atlanta and all over the world will come together at this free festival to share knowledge, information and ideas and be exposed to humanitarian efforts from all over the world," says conference organizer Neil Shulman, associate professor at Emory University School of Medicine.  

"We hope to create a synergy and contagious positive spirit of celebrating, connecting and learning about the joys of helping others."

• Mary Fernandez, Past Vice President of the GA Association of Blind Students
• Charles Hatcher, Past Vice President for Health Affairs and Director of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center at Emory
• Victor Mbaba, Founder of Africa's Children's Fund
• Jim Withers: Founder of the Street Medicine Movement: Infecting the world with the empathy virus
