The Emory WorkLife Resource Center continues its series of financial education workshops, "Finance Matters," designed to help faculty and staff better understand their finances and prepare for their future.
On Friday, May 4, a workshop on "Getting the Most Out of Your Retirement," will provide information on retirement benefit programs, including the tools and resources available. The workshop is facilitated by Cynthia Mayz, retirement plan administrator at Emory.
"Buying Real Estate in Today's Market" is the topic of a workshop on Friday, May 11. Learn the best way to approach home ownership and financing. Bill Haas and Randy Lipp from the Foundation for Personal Financial Freedom will discuss what is happening in Atlanta's real estate market and how that is not necessarily how it's portrayed in the news. They note that now might be one of the best times to buy.
All workshops are held in the Harland Cinema in the Dobbs University Center from noon to 1 p.m. Sessions are free but registration is required.
