CANCELLED: HUD secretary to speak with students at State of the Union Town Hall

This event has been cancelled.

U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan is scheduled to speak on campus this Friday, Feb. 10, in a "State of the Union Town Hall" discussion with students. The event is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. in the Cox Hall Ballroom. The event is free and open to Emory students, faculty and staff; however pre-event registration is encouraged due to limited space.

Donovan, who as HUD Secretary serves as a member of President Barack Obama's Cabinet, is expected to discuss student-related government issues, including economic development, housing market policies and other topics of interest to college students. He will take questions from the audience following his talk. The event is sponsored by the White House, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Emory Student Government Association.
