Oxford College hosted a campus-wide scavenger hunt last week, dubbed the Ultimate OxQuest. Students followed clues posted on social media that led them to locations that represented one of the Oxford Principles. The #OxPrinciples — belonging, care, learning, identity, accountability and presence — reflect the community values that keep Oxford strong.
At each location — such as the Oxford Student Center, William’s Gym and Tarbutton Performing Arts Center — students learned about one of the #OxPrincples and wrote about what that principle means to them. Students were rewarded with fun prizes, including T-shirts, water bottles, snacks and more.
“I had the pleasure of greeting many students who found their way to me in the library,” says Interim Dean Ken Carter. “This was a great way for students to get engaged and involved in thinking about each of the Oxford principles, and to have fun doing it.”
