Approximately 1,600 members of the Emory community registered to participate in the 16th annual Emory Cares International Service Day on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Emory students, alumni, faculty and staff and their families volunteered to help with dozens of community projects — from landscaping parks to packing medical supplies — around Atlanta and beyond. Emory Cares 2019 reached 64 cities and 13 countries worldwide.
Founded in 2003 by Renelda Mack 83C, a former Emory Alumni Board president, the popular annual tradition is a partnership between the Emory Alumni Association and Volunteer Emory.
