ATLANTA – Emory Healthcare is expanding its primary care footprint with the announcement of a new relationship with One Medical, a modernized primary care organization combining seamless digital health and premier in-office care. One Medical makes its entrance into the Atlanta market next year with this relationship, delivering its human-centered, technology-powered health care model to consumers and employers, while coordinating care with Emory’s renowned network of providers and facilities.

“One Medical offers a unique member-based, technology-powered primary care network, joined with health systems, to drive the highest level of results and best outcomes,” says Jonathan S. Lewin, MD, president, CEO and chairman of the board of Emory Healthcare. “Their services will complement our own broad primary care network. We look forward to working with One Medical to continue delivering high-quality, integrated care and service to our community.”

“One Medical is a high-quality, technologically-savvy health care organization with focus on patient experience,” says Ted Johnson, MD, MPH, program lead for Emory Primary Care. “It has operations in nine other major metropolitan areas in the U.S., and we are excited about One Medical arriving in Atlanta to give patients additional options for their primary care needs close to home, work, shopping or on-line.”

The One Medical care model offers a compelling approach to delivering better health and better care, including the following components:

  • A member-centered customer experience, with same-day or next day appointment availability and longer appointment times with providers which start on time
  • 24/7 on-demand access to digital health care, including virtual video visits, direct messaging with providers, and navigation support to specialty care
  • Mobile application for prescription renewals, appointment scheduling, on-demand video visits, lab results, and access to medical data such as medication history
  • Expanded services include behavioral health, women’s health, men’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine, dermatology, lifestyle and well-being programs

One Medical is currently enrolling employers and consumers across the country, and will begin signing up members in Atlanta soon.

“With this partnership with Emory Healthcare--one of the nation’s leading health systems--One Medical is advancing its goal of delivering better health and coordinated care to consumers and employers across the nation,” says Amir Dan Rubin, President and CEO of One Medical.
