The Emory Clinic has opened a new dialysis center offering in-center hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to patients who require dialytic therapies. Emory Dialysis at North Decatur is located at 2165 North Decatur Road in Decatur, GA.
“With the opening of this center, our department is thrilled to be able to provide dialysis services to more Emory Healthcare patients” says Jeff Sands, MD, Juha P. Kokko Professor of Medicine and Physiology and director of the Division of Renal Medicine.
The state-of-the-art facility includes 22 hemodialysis stations, and four peritoneal dialysis training rooms. The clinic is the fourth Emory Clinic dialysis center, and joins three other centers opened in early 2010 and a standalone peritoneal dialysis unit opened in 2014. Emory Dialysis North at Decatur was opened to accommodate an influx of patients from Emory Healthcare hospitals and clinics seeking dialysis care from Emory renal physicians.
The clinic will be staffed by renal division faculty skilled in the care of dialysis patients. Sands will serve as the medical director for the facility.
