The Michael C. Carlos Museum bookshop is having a pop-up sale Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9.
This special summer clearance sale features 20 percent discounts off hundreds of books and gifts for museum members and the Emory community.
The discount will also be applied to the selection of bargain and sale books on history, art, archeology and mythology. The bookshop stocks hundreds of titles on these topics for both adults and children, with an emphasis on the ancient cultures of Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
Online shopping is currently not an option because the bookstore stock changes so frequently. For general information, call 404-727-0509 or email mburell@emory.edu.
While at the bookshop, visitors can order the companion catalogue to the Carlos Museum exhibition, Doorway to an Enlightened World: The Tibetan Shrine from the Alice S. Kandell Collection. Copies can also be ordered by phone, 404-727-2374.
