What:  Emory University Emergency Crisis Training DRILL  

Where: Emory's Briarcliff property, 1256 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta  

When:  8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5  

Emory University will stage an emergency response training exercise Nov. 5 that will involve numerous emergency units responding to the scene, including Emory and DeKalb Police Departments and DeKalb County Fire and Rescue, in addition to actor-participants on the scene.

Emory has notified the surrounding neighborhood of details regarding the drill. It is anticipated that media outlets may receive calls from community members noting activity in this area the morning of Nov. 5. We appreciate your assistance in conveying the fact that THIS ACTIVITY IS ONLY A DRILL.    

This realistic disaster training exercise is coordinated by Emory's Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR). It involves both University and Emory Healthcare leadership to enhance coordination and cooperation of crisis response among the many resources of Emory's community, in collaboration with DeKalb County.
