Mitchell Tanzman

Mitchell Tanzman is a founding partner as well as co-chief executive officer and co-chief investment officer of Central Park Group in New York.  He has more than 20 years of experience in alternative investments.

Prior to founding Central Park Group, Tanzman served as co-head of UBS Financial Services Alternative Investment Group. Before UBS, he worked at Oppenheimer & Co. and ultimately co-managed the firm's alternative investment department. He began his career at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan as an attorney specializing in investment companies and advisory services.

His involvement at Emory dates back to his years as an undergraduate.  He was managing editor and editor-in-chief of The Emory Wheel and was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society and the Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity.

He has served as a member of the Emory Alumni Board and has worked on the university's annual fund.  Tanzman is a 1981 graduate of the Emory College of Arts and Sciences, and he earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School.

She has more than 25 years of experience providing strategic counsel related to business immigration law, policy and compliance for multinational companies across a broad range of industries.

A long-time member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on the Emory campus, Marlowe has held numerous leadership positions and presently serves as chair of the education team.  She co-founded and co-leads a program at Glenn providing food each Friday during the school year to about 200 children who otherwise would have insufficient food over the weekend.

Marlowe graduated from the Emory College of Arts and Sciences in 1980, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. She received a Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Michigan in 1983.

Including these appointments, the 43-member Board of Trustees oversees the governance and long-range fiduciary health of the university. Nominees for alumni trustees are selected by the Emory Alumni Board and submitted to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval. Alumni trustees serve six years. Final approval rests with the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference of the United Methodist Church.
