Keeping up with the influenza virus

This year’s Journeys of Reconciliation trip took 12 Emory students to Vietnam — across deltas, jungles and bustling cities — where they explored the country’s diverse religious traditions and examined peacemaking through the legacy of the Vietnam War.

James Nagy, longtime Emory mathematics professor and department chair, has been appointed dean of Emory College of Arts and Sciences for the 2026–27 academic year. Nagy will lead the college while the national search for a long-term dean, launched this spring, moves forward.

Emory’s Office of the Provost has launched the Academic AI Task Force, bringing together experts from across the institution to define a university-wide academic direction for AI.
