Libby Livingston has been elected to the board of directors of Forté, a consortium of major corporations and top business schools.
Livingston is director of admissions for the Two-Year MBA at Goizueta Business School.
The mission of Forté is to increase the number of women business leaders by getting more women into key educational gateways and business networks.
Livingston has been Goizueta’s representative within the Forté organization for a number of years, spearheading female MBA student recruitment effort.
Vojtěch Rödl is a recipient of the George Pólya Prize from the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
Rödl is the Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He receives an engraved medal, and shares a cash award of $20,000 with his co-recipient. The Pólya prize is given every two years and honors mathematician George Pólya.
Sheila Tefft has been named a Fulbright Senior Scholar.
Tefft is senior lecturer in Emory’s journalism program.
She will teach courses in journalism in Indonesia at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, known as the State Islamic University UIN Jakarta, from January through June, 2013."Acclaim" recognizes the accomplishments of staff and faculty.
