Ongoing construction of Emory Point, the new mixed-use development on Clifton Road across from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has resulted in periodic traffic delays along a stretch of Clifton Road due to underground installations, utility work and surface paving.
Occasional one-lane closures to complete this work are scheduled to continue through mid-June between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with repaving operations occurring during off-peak hours.
Emory Point is a project developed jointly by Cousins Properties and Gables Residential. The first phase of construction, which will create 80,000 square feet of retail space and more than 400 apartments, is scheduled to open this fall. Residential pre-leasing began this spring.
