What:  Emory University Crisis DRILL
 
Where: Emory's Briarcliff campus, 1256 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta
 
When:  8 a.m. - 12 noon, Tuesday, March 27, 2012
 
Emory University's March 27 disaster exercise will involve numerous emergency units responding to the scene, including Emory and DeKalb Police Departments and the DeKalb Fire Department, in addition to actor-patients with obvious "injuries."
 
Noise level will be minimal and Emory has notified the immediate Briarcliff neighborhood, as well as the University community, of details regarding the drill. Despite communication efforts, it is anticipated that media outlets may receive calls from community members noting activity in this area on the morning of March 27.  We appreciate your assistance in conveying the fact that THIS ACTIVITY IS ONLY A DRILL.  
 
This realistic disaster exercise is being coordinated by Emory's Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR), and involves both the University and Emory Healthcare leadership to enhance coordination and cooperation among the many resources of Emory's community in response to a crisis, in collaboration with DeKalb County.
