Hi, Emory!As the Emory community holds President Carter and his family in our thoughts, we look back on 40 years of partnership between Emory and The Carter Center. You can share messages of peace and comfort with President Carter through the center’s website. Students have been receiving some major accolades recently. Keep reading to meet Emory's latest Luce Scholar, the junior who received an NIH scholarship, the senior advancing on “Jeopardy!”, how the Pathways Center is changing lives and more. The second season of the 2O36 podcast is out now and human rights scholar Carol Anderson lays out a blueprint for a better democracy. You can also catch the latest season of “Buried Truths,” which focuses on two racially charged killings in 1958 southwestern Georgia. Oh, and NBA star Shaquille O'Neal is coming to campus on March 1 for a free event in the Emory Student Center — snatch your ticket up before it sells out. Emory senior becomes semifinalist on “Jeopardy!” |

Emory senior Maya Wright won her Monday match on “Jeopardy!” to become the first semifinalist in the show's High School Reunion Tournament. Wright will return in the semifinals on March 7. The winner of the finals will receive $100,000 and a spot in this year's Tournament of Champions.
