Praise House Project to install public art honoring African American history
Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, a partnership between Emory Arts and artist-activist Charmaine Minniefield will place three praise houses in metro Atlanta to uplift the African American history of those communities.

Emory ranks among top universities by Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education
Emory University ranked 20th out of 796 U.S. universities according to the 2022 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings, published Sept. 21.

Twin Memorials Working Group gets underway
The report of the Task Force on Untold Stories and Disenfranchised Populations calls for establishing memorials on the Atlanta and Oxford campuses honoring enslaved laborers. The Twin Memorials Working Group has formed to pursue that goal.

Carlos Museum exhibition to feature work of leading Indigenous contemporary artists
“Each/Other,” opening at the Carlos Museum on Sept. 25, is the first exhibition to feature together the work of Indigenous contemporary artists Marie Watt and Cannupa Hanska Luger. Members of the Emory community contributed items for some of the works.
