Campus community gathering tomorrow in Cannon Chapel to watch Rosalynn Carter tribute service |
|
Emory's Atlanta campus will have remote work and learning on Tuesday as the university hosts the tribute service for former first lady Rosalynn Carter in Glenn Memorial UMC. While that service is for invited guests only, the Cannon Chapel sanctuary will be open at 1 p.m. for members of the Emory community who are on campus to watch the televised service together. Members of the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life team will be present and available to provide pastoral care if needed. For more information, please contact religiouslife@emory.edu. |

Faculty can share input to help bring Emory’s Twin Memorials to life |

Emory University faculty are invited to join an online facilitated discussion about Emory’s Twin Memorials project honoring the lives and legacies of the enslaved individuals who are part of Emory’s history. Walter Hood, whose firm Hood Design Studio will lead the design of the Twin Memorials, will facilitate this discussion as the project enters its next phase. This session is reserved for faculty. The discussion will be held virtually Thursday, Nov. 30, at 4 p.m. RSVP by Tuesday, Nov. 28. |
