Work on identity spaces underway as part of racial and social justice initiatives
Improvements to student identity spaces in the Alumni Memorial University Center are underway, driven by student input. By fall 2023, these spaces will relocate to new, extensively renovated locations in Cox Hall.

COVID-19 antibody transfer to newborns lower than expected
Women who contract COVID-19 during pregnancy are able to make strong neutralizing antibodies but may end up passing fewer of these protective antibodies to their infants than desired, a new study at Emory shows.

Emory president issues statement on Schwartz Center name
Emory President Gregory L. Fenves has issued a statement about the Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. The Student Government Association and College Council passed resolutions calling for the center to be renamed.

DISCOVERY
Community exposure is greater risk for COVID-19 infection in health care workers, not health care setting
In a large study of U.S. health care workers in three states, researchers found that community exposure to COVID-19 was associated with COVID-19 infection in health care workers, but specific occupational activities in a hospital or health care setting were not.
