Emory's 42nd annual Staff Fest goes virtual with 'Stronger Together' theme
Emory's time-honored tradition of Staff Fest looks different this year, but will still take place virtually on Friday, May 15. Complete your own version of the fun walk/run, join a ZUMBA or WERQ class, or team up for trivia challenge and other activities.

 

SUSTAINABILITY
Solar power agreement will help Emory reduce greenhouse gas emissions
Emory will install more than 15,000 solar panels across 16 buildings on its Druid Hills campus, which will generate approximately 10 percent of the university’s peak energy requirements and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 4,300 metric tons.

Emory and Georgia Tech create COVID-19 barrier protection devices
Emory physicians and Georgia Tech engineers teamed up to create barrier protection devices designed to contain respiratory droplets while breathing tubes are inserted, with a goal of reducing risks for medical staff.

Drive-through COVID-19 testing takes 'huge team effort' from Emory staff
Emory's drive-through testing site is the result of a "huge team effort" from staff across multiple areas of expertise, including clinical providers, facilities management, IT, lab techs, supply chain, security and more.

Emory to study efficacy of remdesivir and baricitinib against COVID-19
Emory and Eli Lilly have gained NIAID approval to study the safety and efficacy of using the anti-inflammatory drug baricitinib with remdesivir to treat patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

Mapped: The future of the School of Medicine's Class of 2020
With the aid of an interactive map, explore the broad range of institutions the graduating class from the School of Medicine were matched with this year for their medical residencies.

ARTS
Concert Choir shares one more song to end the semester
Although the Emory Concert Choir hasn’t rehearsed since before spring break, the members wanted to make music together one more time. The result was a virtual performance of “Beautiful River,” with the students singing from their homes across the country and around the world.
