Organizers of the Special Olympics Summer Games encourage the Emory community to help fill the stands and cheer on athletes this weekend; the event is part of a full slate of events bringing visitors to campus during the summer.
Biotech and the Ethical Imagination: A Global Summit (BEINGS), organized by Paul Root Wolpe, director of the Emory Center for Ethics, convened 135 delegates from 25 countries to create global guidelines for the use of biotechnology breakthroughs.
On a 10-day trip to Seoul, professor and public theologian Robert Franklin and students from Candler School of Theology will meet with leaders dealing with issues such as normalizing relations with North Korea and the Sewol Ferry disaster.
