Emory names Darren Hutchinson to inaugural John Lewis Chair for Civil Rights and Social Justice
Acclaimed legal scholar and social justice advocate Darren Lenard Hutchinson has been named the Emory University School of Law inaugural John Lewis Chair for Civil Rights and Social Justice. He will join the faculty July 1.

NIAID has awarded Emory researchers a five-year, $11 million grant to study heteroresistance, a stealthy form of antibiotic resistance that undermines the treatment of bacterial infections.

Emory College senior Christie Jones began studying how pathogens jump from animals to humans just in time to watch an unfolding pandemic underscore the importance of her research.

Winship’s Ramalingam to serve as editor-in-chief of journal CANCER
Suresh S. Ramalingam, deputy director of Winship Cancer Institute, will serve as the new editor-in-chief of CANCER, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society.
