Emory tops U.S. News hospital rankings for metro Atlanta and Georgia
For the ninth consecutive year, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Emory University Hospital the No. 1 hospital in Georgia and metro Atlanta in its 2020-2021 Best Hospitals guide. Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital ranked No. 2 in Georgia and metro Atlanta; Emory University Hospital Midtown ranked No. 5 in both regions.

 

RESEARCH
Nationwide 'All of Us' health database now available to Emory researchers
The "All of Us" research program has opened the researcher workbench platform for investigators at select institutions, including Emory. The beta version will enable researchers to begin exploring the program’s initial dataset and tools for use in a wide range of analyses.

NATURE
Butterfly genomics: Biologists show how monarchs fly differently, but meet and mate
Eastern and western monarch butterflies may differ when migrating to their overwintering sites, but a new study from the lab of Emory biologist Jaap de Roode confirms that the two groups are genetically the same -- which means the varieties mate more often than previously thought.
