Season wrap-up of 'Your Fantastic Mind' covers stroke and epilepsy
In the season finale of "Your Fantastic Mind," Georgia Public Broadcasting partners with Emory to cover care for stroke victims and a radical treatment that helped Ja'lisa Thomas, who suffered from epilepsy so severe that she couldn't work or drive.

 

RESEARCH
NIH $17 million grant will promote healthy aging in people with HIV
The National Institutes of Health awarded a seven-year grant totaling $17 million to Emory researchers to study the impact of chronic health conditions -- including heart, lung, blood and sleep disorders -- that affect men and women living with HIV.

 

ACHIEVEMENT
Beinecke Scholar studies psychology to help children become more resilient
Emory junior Darien "Penny" McElwee has been named one of just 18 Beinecke Scholars nationwide. After conducting extensive undergraduate research, she plans to pursue a PhD in psychology, exploring how children develop resiliency.

Food's impact on health is the focus of two courses at Emory bridging the university's resources across the health sciences and liberal arts with the culinary expertise of Emory Dining, including hands-on cooking lessons.

Remembrance ceremony honors Emory nurse who served in World War I
On the 100th anniversary of her death, a special remembrance ceremony was held for nurse Camille O'Brien, the only member of the Emory Unit to die in France during World War I. Watch videos to learn her inspiring story.
