IMPACT Emory University launches global Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning program The culmination of two decades of collaboration between Emory and the Dalai Lama's institutions, SEE (Social, Ethical and Emotional) Learning provides educators with a compassion-based ethics curriculum for K-12 and other students. HEALTH 'Your Fantastic Mind' TV series returns to explore how migraines differ from headaches As Emory and Georgia Public Broadcasting's "Your Fantastic Mind" returns with the second half of the first season, discover how migraines differ from headaches, some common triggers and how a "numbing" treatment helped a college soccer player. HONORS Emory professor, novelist Tayari Jones wins NAACP Image Award Tayari Jones, professor of English and creative writing at Emory, has been honored with the NAACP Image Award for fiction for her acclaimed novel "An American Marriage." ACHIEVEMENT Newsweek names Emory University Hospital a 'Top 100 Global Hospital' Emory University Hospital has been named a Top 100 Global Hospital in Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals 2019 list. Emory University Hospital is the only hospital in Georgia, only one of two in the Southeast and one of 25 in the U.S. to make the global list.
