Emory Herbarium to commemorate growing collection
The Emory Herbarium hosts a Research Symposium & Celebration on Sept. 21 to mark a major milestone — the digitization of more than 20,000 plant specimens, the oldest of which dates back to 1872.

NSF awards $1 million for decoding massive brain datasets
With support from the National Science Foundation, scientists at Emory, Georgia Tech, Northwestern and the University of Chicago will use advanced "machine learning" techniques to decode the complex languages of the nervous system.

"Building Emory's African American Collections: Highlights from the Curatorial Career of Randall K. Burkett," an exhibition now open at Emory's Woodruff Library, features treasures from collections and Burkett's stories of their discovery and acquisition.
