Hi, Emory!Now that you’re settling into the semester, it’s time to find some ways to fill your spare time. Read “10 things to do around Emory in September” for some budget-friendly ideas and check out volunteer opportunities through Welcoming Day of Service on Saturday. Be sure to register for the Sept. 19 Carter Town Hall, this year featuring ⚽️ ⭐️ Megan Rapinoe. (You can also submit a question that she might answer during the event!) First-year students can attend in person and received ticket information via email; other students and members of the broader Emory community can register to watch the livestream. Emory’s Welcoming Day of Service, hosted by Volunteer Emory, will be held Saturday, Sept. 10. Check-in and kickoff start promptly at 11 a.m. on McDonough Plaza. It’s a great opportunity for the Emory community (students, faculty, staff and alumni) to come together and volunteer around Atlanta. Participants will wrap up the day with a short onsite reflection and return to campus by 4:30 p.m. Register at The Hub using the “Service” tab or directly on Emory OPEN using the “Emory OPEN login” button. |
