Rising senior delves into ways movement can reflect what’s on our minds
Alexa Mohsenzadeh will spend her time as a Humanities in Action Fellow creating a living document charting how visitors explore Atlanta Vintage Books and what their actions say about what’s occupying their minds.

Hancock named UAA representative for NCAA Woman of the Year Award
Former Emory swimming standout Clio Hancock is the University Athletic Association's representative for the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. The award recognizes graduating female student-athletes who have completed their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.

 

ACCOMPLISHMENT
Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program earns accreditation
The School of Nursing has earned accreditation for its novel psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program, which will enable advanced practice nurses to learn more about the mental health field and help close the current care gap.

Emory + Georgia Tech AI.Humanity seed grant recipients announced
Three faculty pairs from Emory and Georgia Tech are the inaugural recipients of AI.Humanity Seed Grant Program funds. Their work will leverage artificial intelligence to improve society and the quality of human life.

New medical students learn the ins and outs of campus
Emory’s first-year medical students (M1s) got familiar with the university’s campus and history — and Atlanta’s humidity — during a campus-wide scavenger hunt similar to “The Amazing Race.”
