Work on identity spaces underway as part of racial and social justice initiatives
Improvements to student identity spaces in the Alumni Memorial University Center are underway, driven by student input. By fall 2023, these spaces will relocate to new, extensively renovated locations in Cox Hall.

Emory President Gregory L. Fenves has issued a statement about the Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. The Student Government Association and College Council passed resolutions calling for the center to be renamed.

Emory-Tibet Week 2021 focuses on ‘Compassion, Practice and Well-being’
After canceling activities in 2020 due to the pandemic, Tibet Week returns to Emory March 21– 27 with film screenings, daily meditations and the traditional mandala sand painting exhibition.

Emory epidemiologist braves Alaskan tundra for COVID-19 testing at Iditarod
The Iditarod, the largest sled dog racing event in the world, began March 7. Emory epidemiologist Jodie Guest is the 2021 Iditarod COVID-19 czar, working to plan and adapt for every scenario. The robust plan included support from graduate students Lisa Chung and Zoe Schneider.
