Grant supports new theology program for high school students

A $600,000 grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc. will make way for a new program at Emory encouraging high school students to explore theology and faith. The Office of Spiritual and Religious Life will partner with Candler School of Theology on the initiative.

Physics plays key role in how white blood cells fight infection

Using a model blood vessel system built on a polymer chip, researchers have shown that the relative softness of white blood cells determines whether they enter blood circulation to fight infection. The discovery could lead to new ways to diagnose and treat disease.
