Emory anthropologist Dietrich Stout invites you to participate in an online experiment, investigating the human ability to discriminate and interpret the sounds produced by stone toolmaking.

Punk is alive and well, thanks to Emory class and Rose archives
The Rose Library's punk collection inspired instructor Joseph Fritsch to offer a "Punk's Not Dead" expository writing class this semester, giving students an opportunity to enhance their writing while learning about punk's history and culture.

 

INNOVATION
No bleeding required: anemia detection via smartphone
Biomedical engineers have developed a smartphone app with the aim of non-invasive detection of anemia. Instead of a blood test, the app uses photos of someone's fingernails taken on a smartphone to determine the level of hemoglobin in their blood.

Emory Proton Therapy Center celebrates official opening in Midtown Atlanta
The Emory Proton Therapy Center, the first and only facility of its kind in the state of Georgia, officially opened its doors Dec. 6 in Midtown Atlanta with a VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony. Watch video from the opening celebration.
