Quyen Phan was unanimously selected for the Isabel Hampton Robb Award for Outstanding Leadership in Clinical Practice, Evidence-Based Practice and Interprofessional Collaboration.
The National League for Nursing, the nation’s premier organization for faculty and leaders in nursing education, has named Emory University’s Quyen Phan, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, the recipient of one of its highest honors for 2026.
Phan, an associate clinical professor at Emory’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, received the Isabel Hampton Robb Award for Outstanding Leadership in Clinical Practice, Evidence-Based Practice, and Interprofessional Collaboration at the 2026 National League for Nursing Education Summit on Sept. 25 in Washington, D.C.
The selection committee unanimously chose Phan for her contributions to public health, primary care, academic-practice partnerships, and nursing education. As the primary investigator for Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants totaling $10 million, she prepares hundreds of clinical faculty and preceptors in under-resourced communities in eight Southeastern states, leads the expansion of care to underserved and rural areas through a nurse-led mobile health program, and trains nursing students and community health workers to provide behavioral health support to children and youth in those areas.
She also serves as co-investigator on three additional HRSA grants totaling $6.7 million that prepare nursing students for primary care to address social determinants of health and train community health workers to meet local health needs.
The National League for Nursing proudly recognizes outstanding leaders who are steadfast in their personal and professional determination to transform nursing education. We honor their work to advance the essential goals of making outstanding healthcare accessible and equitable to patients and families living in diverse communities here in America and around the world.
