Emory Global Engagement is excited to launch the International Travel Readiness and Information Portal (ITRIP). Starting Sept. 1, faculty, staff and students planning Emory University-related international travel will be required to enter their upcoming travel plans in ITRIP before booking flights, accommodations or other travel arrangements.

ITRIP will serve as a central portal for information and requirements, eliminating the need to search for documentation across departments.

Entering travel plans in ITRIP only takes a few minutes. For many destinations, depending on the risks associated with the travel plan, travelers will receive an “Emory travel-ready” status within a few business days.

ITRIP also offers:

  • Personalized guidance on university policies, requirements and travel considerations specific to your destination and itinerary.
  • Access to Emory’s Global Assistance Program, including travel assistance services, international travel insurance benefits, real-time destination information and safety alerts.
  • Timely support during emergencies, with the university able to provide assistance and coordinate resources in the event of a medical, security or natural disaster or other crisis when abroad.
  • Peace of mind knowing that travel plans meet university requirements and that support is available.

Emory Global Engagement has developed a Frequently Asked Questions list to assist travelers with more information on the ITRIP main webpage.
