“Dooley’s Voyage” departs on Monday, April 13, and this is one ride you won’t want to miss. From treasure hunts to foods from local vendors to the annual concert, there’s something to explore at every stop along the way.

It’s spring on Emory’s campus, which means two things: there’s visible pollen in the air and Dooley is getting ready to rise.

Dooley’s Week, the beloved yearly tradition for Emory students, is back this year April 13-17, full of adventure, celebration and school spirit.

The theme, “Dooley’s Voyage,” invites students to journey through Dooley’s history in the form of a treasure hunt and pirate-themed festivities across campus. From Monday, April 13, through Thursday, April 16, a daily scavenger hunt clue will be posted on the Student Programming Council (SPC) Instagram. Students who decipher the clue and travel to the corresponding spot on campus will find a message in a boat, which can be exchanged for merch at the evening event.

“We’re especially excited to kick things off with a bang at Dooley’s Rising on the Quad; we've always thought it was only fitting to start the week off in the heart of campus and are so happy we were able to get it done. It is going to set the tone for the rest of the week,” says Sebastian Engel, SPC member and Dooley’s Week chair.

“We’re working closely with the Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI) to ensure this week is sustainable while amplifying student voices and keeping everything interactive and enjoyable for everyone,” says Engel.

All events are free and open to Emory undergraduate students. For more details and updates, follow @EmorySPC on Instagram and check out their page on The Hub.

Bonus activity: Throughout the week, the Carlos Museum’s conservation team and Emory Public Art Committee are partnering to clean Matthew Palmer’s sculpture “Dooley Goes on Forever,” located near Asbury Circle. Students are invited to stop by, grab a brush and help care for the iconic art (Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., weather permitting).

Monday, April 13: Dooley’s Rising

Emory Quad, 5:30-8 p.m.

Tuesday, April 14: Dooley’s Treasure Trade

McDonough Field, 1-8 p.m.

The event, partnered with Footwork, will also feature some soccer elements and interactive activities.

Need to refuel? The Emory Farmers Market will be available from 1-4 p.m. This event is also in collaboration with the Emory Farmers Market and OSI.

Wednesday, April 15: Taste of Emory

McDonough Field, 5:30-8 p.m.

Taste of Emory has become a beloved campus event and this year, students will have the opportunity to sail across the globe, sampling cuisine from local vendors. The fun is in collaboration with Emory Fashion and Design, who will be hosting their annual fashion show during the event, featuring student models and student-made clothing.

Thursday, April 16: Shipwrecked

McDonough Field, 5-8 p.m.

Dooley’s Voyage docks on the beach, where students can surf the waves, dig for treasure, enjoy food or simply relax with friends.

The festivities include OSI’s 20th annual Sustainability Fest, featuring dessert and many of Emory’s sustainability-focused organizations. All four Greek Life councils (IFC, MGC, NPHC and EPC), along with the Greek Life honor society Order of Omega, are also co-sponsoring the event. Attendees will be able to write cards to Letters of Love, participate in a dunk tank and photobooth, and enjoy destress goodie bags as finals season approaches.
