Reserve a time to take photos at the Emory Gate

Members of the Class of 2026 can schedule a time to safely take photos by the Emory Gate while the road is closed down. SGA and GSGA will also have on-site photographers. Find out more about graduation celebrations and secure your spot.

Members of Emory’s Class of 2026 now have a way to easily — and safely — take photos by the Emory Gate.

Emory University, Student Government Association (SGA), Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA) and the Emory Police Department (EPD) are co-hosting this event. The road will be shut down during the following dates and times to allow graduating students to take photos. SGA and GSGA will also have photographers on-site so everyone can be in the photo together.

  • Saturday, April 4, 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 18, 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 2, 3-4:30 p.m.

Register today to secure your spot.


Additionally, graduating students should check out the Commencement Village on the Quadrangle, presented by Emory University and the Emory Alumni Association.

Epic Photo Ops

April 28-May 9, all day

Take graduation pictures on the Quad with never-before-seen Emory and Class of 2026 backdrops.


Pop-up Parties

April 29, May 2, and May 9: 3-5 p.m.

With music, snacks and giveaways, these parties are the perfect time for group and family photos, with extra photo ops and professional photographers on-site.


Quad Celebrations

May 4-May 11, various times

Schools, units and registered student organizations can reserve and use event tents free of charge for graduation parties. Email emorycommencement@emory.edu for reservation availability.
