The Celebration of Excellence honored Emory Athletics teams that placed in the top eight nationally from spring 2025 through spring 2026. This event took place on the Emory Quad where students, faculty, staff and fans could come out and celebrate those achievements.

Attendees enjoyed free food and merchandise while hearing from several student-athletes and reliving some of the biggest highlights of the year.

The teams that were honored included men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s basketball.

The Mellon Foundation funds will help support the Atlanta Interdisciplinary AI Network and advance ethical, human-centered AI research related to community partnerships, education and more. Emory professor Lauren Klein is the grant’s principal investigator.
