Emory University Senate is accepting applications for 2026-27 committees

The University Senate, comprised of representatives from across Emory University, is an essential component of university governance. 

Applications for several University Senate committees are open until Friday, March 27, for the 2026-27 session. 

The current standing committees are:

  • Athletics and Recreation
  • Budgeting Priorities 
  • Campus Development
  • Community Life
  • Environment
  • Fringe Benefits
  • Governance
  • Honorary Degrees
  • Libraries and Museum
  • Open Expression
  • Prevention of Sexual Violence
  • Transportation and Parking

Each committee addresses issues related to specific topics and reports back to the full University Senate. Membership on these committees is not limited to elected or appointed members of the Senate.

Those interested in serving on a committee (or committees) should upload a short statement of interest and a CV/resume by Friday, March 27.
