Hello, Emory!Welcome to a full week of activities around campus — including several that are longstanding Emory traditions. ☀️ Tibet Week began today, with events scheduled through Saturday. If you’ve never watched the sand mandala construction, stop by the Carlos Museum to see how it’s created. 🎤 Tonight brings Emory’s 42nd Carter Town Hall, with award-winning actor and producer Yara Shahidi as the featured speaker. It’s a student-focused event, but you’ll get the highlights through our post-event coverage. 🇺🇸 On Friday, the university will hold its 15th annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on the Quad. Staff can share input to help bring Emory’s Twin Memorials to life |

Emory University staff are invited to join a facilitated discussion about Emory’s Twin Memorials project honoring the lives and legacies of the enslaved individuals who are part of Emory’s history. Walter Hood, whose firm Hood Design Studio will lead the design of the Twin Memorials, will facilitate this discussion as the project enters its next phase. This session is reserved for staff. The discussion will be Thursday, Nov. 9, at 3:15 p.m. at the Miller-Ward Alumni House. RSVP by tomorrow. |
